The Lefebvre Legacy Project exists to turn Brent Lefebvre’s generosity into meaningful, hands-on acts of service throughout Guelph.
Through the Project, Legacy Men identify opportunities where funding, leadership, skills and volunteer effort can create a tangible difference for local people and organizations. The aim is not simply to write cheques. It is to rally men around projects they can help lead, build and complete.
Each completed project becomes another part of a growing legacy; a visible example of what can happen when generosity is paired with people willing to show up and do the work.
The Project is focused on Guelph and the people and organizations that strengthen the community.
Legacy Men are expected to contribute their time, leadership and effort, not only project funding.
Projects are chosen with an eye toward meaningful outcomes that continue beyond the day the work is finished.
After being diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma, Lefebvre began documenting his health journey for friends, family and supporters. From the beginning, his approach was grounded in action. In his own words, “Fortunately, I am not a stat.”
That mindset is reflected in the Lefebvre Legacy Project. Lefebvre chose to direct his own generosity outward by donating $100,000 to create opportunities for Legacy Men to serve others and to build something that can continue to grow in the Guelph community.
The Project is intended to carry forward more than Lefebvre’s name. It carries forward a willingness to act, to help, and to make the time and resources available today matter to someone else tomorrow.
